A702 - Elvanfoot to Carronbridge

This road runs from the M74 south of Crawford down to the A76 north of Thornhill. It’s usually pretty empty and features some awesome scenery and bends - often with good visibility into the distance.

Here are the pictures:

The road is mostly NSL (National Speed Limit) with only a couple of brief 50 mph limits. You’ll find some great views and some pretty fantastic corners. This road takes you through the Dalveen pass.

Heres a decent map of the road.

You can find decent food and drink at the Auldgirth Inn a few minutes south on the A76.
