A817 - Loch Lomond to Garelochhead (Glen Fruin Road)
This road is very easy to get to just north of Glasgow and off the A82 - the pictures don’t do the road justice! It has some excellent corners and cross views with plenty of gorgeous scenery too.

I took quite a few pictures of this road - it’s so great!
The road is very near to an MOD road and they are both easily done one after the other - I’ll be adding that road shortly.
I photo’d this road while staying in Glasgow just on the A82 at the Best Western (Glasgow Pond) hotel which is worth considering since it was good value and offered decent food too. The hotel was an ideal base/stopping point for travelling further north since it places you outside of the city centre but offers frequent buses back into town if needed. It also has plenty of free parking.
